Castiglia's, Keyser, WV

Located on 401 S Mineral St, Keyser, WV 26726, click HERE for yahoo maps and directions.

"Oh my belly!!", is what we always say before we even get up from the table. This place is a little out of our way, but we hit it up every chance we get! Jerry Castiglia came from northern Italy to the VA area and opened his first restaurant in Front Royal. After a few years he expanded his business and came to Keyser. All of their bread/dough's and sauces are authentic home made Italian goodness! They are currently expanding on the inside, and remodeling with some fantastic stone work.

Castiglia's breadstix

The Spaghetti comes with a side salad, but they will let you substitute for breadsticks instead. These breadsticks are the best in the area. The home made dough is deep fried, and probably not healthy but damn it's good!! They do come with Parmesan cheese on them, and the sauce has Parm on it too, but requesting it without can easily be granted.

Castiglia's Marinara

You better be starving when you walk in that door! These portions are freakin huge! Jodi usually eats left overs for two days. The Marinara sauce is home made and just a little sweet. It's good!

Castiglia's Veggie Stromboli

Jim only eats one breadstick in order to save room for the feast that's on its way. This is a small Stromboli (even though it's a foot long) is ordered without meat or cheese. They threw in some extra veggies, such as broccoli, spinach, and tomatoes. Also inside were mushrooms, peppers, onions, and black olives.

Other options available include a veggie sub, eggplant Parmesan (of course minus the parm), an eggplant sub, and your token fries or salad. Beer and wine are available.

The total cost of this delicious vegan eat (including one soda and a Heineken): $18.77!

Quality of Food:
Bread Sticks: Stellar!
Veggie Stromboli: Stellar!
Spaghetti Marinara:Stellar!
Willingness to Accommodate: Stellar!
Overall Experience: Stellar!

  1. Your right about the portions. I only have eaten lunch their, Would never consider dinner unless I want to eat left overs for a week. Get a pasta lunch... Its like a 14 inch diameter plate!! I cant imagine a dinner portion... Service has always been great. Parking at lunch at this time 01/23/11 you can use the old Sheetz lot if you cant get a spot close without a ticket...
